Got on the creek about 6AM and boy was it rainy. Waited the rain out abit. While waiting I was able to pick up 2 nice LM from the shore with a buzzbait 1+ # each. 6 of us had 2 john boats, and 1 trolling motor. We tied up with a 30 ft. rope then we ventured up stream in hopes of some monster LM's. Floated back 2 miles to our destination. Pretty much didn't catch any monsters but did catch fish all day long. Warmouths, LM's, SM's, Gar, and Crappie in rages of 0.5 - 3+ #. Them warmouths wore us out, they bite just like the LM's and SM's. Shakey heads, JnP, buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, crawfish imitation, and rooster tails were the trick. We had over 40+ # of fishs for a fish fry, salad, and soup. Fed over 20+ people. All 6 of us caught fish all day long we managed a 2+ # crappie, 3+ # SM & LM. We spoked several nice fishes in the 5+ range and saw some on the beds. The creek is sectioned into pools so at times you'll have to get out of the jon boat and wade a few feet. Was the best action and fun I've had in years. If anybody ever gets a chance to get out to AR do take advantage of the natural resources. Plenty of lakes, rivers, hunting grounds, woods, etc... The creek is loaded with rocks, brush, logs, eddies, sand bars, etc... Below are some of the pictures we took while on the water. Didn't have much time to take a lot of pictures was to busy tugging fish.
